ANIMAL CRUELTY AMENDMENTS

Representative Paul Ray proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 4, Lines 92 through 98 :

             92          (ii) "Animal" does not include:
             93          (A) a live, nonhuman vertebrate creature that is:
             94          (I) cared for in accordance with accepted husbandry practices; and
             95          (II) (Aa) used for rodeo purposes;
             96          (Bb) owned or kept by a zoological park that is accredited by, or a member of, the
             97      American Zoo and Aquarium Association;

{ or }

98 (Cc) kept, owned, or used for the purpose of training hunting dogs or raptors;

(Dd) temporarily in the state as part of a circus or traveling exhibitor licensed by the United States Department of Agriculture under 7 U.S.C. 2133.
