9 This bill establishes an ongoing appropriation to the Department of Natural Resources.

11 This bill:
12 . establishes an ongoing appropriation of $500,000 to the Department of Natural
13 Resources to plan and develop urban trails.

23 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24 Section 1. Appropriation to the Department of Natural Resources to fund urban
25 trails.
26 (1) As an ongoing appropriation subject to future budget constraints, there is
27 appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 2008-09, $500,000 to the Department of

28 Natural Resources.
29 (2) It is the intent of the Legislature that the Department of Natural Resources use the
30 monies appropriated in Subsection (1) to plan and develop the urban trails, a recreational trail
31 category established in Section 63-11a-103 .
