8 General Description:
9 This bill modifies the Election Code that relates to the form of absentee ballot.
10 Highlighted Provisions:
11 This bill:
12 . removes the requirement to print the words "absentee ballot" on the absentee ballots
13 or on the stub of the absentee ballots; and
14 . makes technical changes.

23 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24 Section 1. Section 20A-3-303 is amended to read:
25 20A-3-303. Form of absentee ballot.
26 (1) For all elections, the election officer shall:
27 (a) cause a sufficient number of official ballots to be known as absentee ballots to be

28 prepared and printed; and
29 (b) ensure that the absentee ballots are prepared and printed in the same form, are of
30 the same size and texture, and contain the same [matter] information as the regular official
31 ballot[, except that the words "absentee ballot" are printed on the absentee ballots or on the
32 stub of the absentee ballots].
33 (2) The election officer may prepare absentee ballots as paper ballots or ballot sheets or
34 may use both methods.
