9 This bill amends a provision relating to the starting date for the general rifle deer

22 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
23 Section 1. Section 23-16-6 is amended to read:
24 23-16-6. Commencement date of general deer season.
25 The general rifle deer season [shall] may not commence [the Saturday on or nearest to

26 October 20th] each year before October 1.
