Mr. Speaker:

    The Political Subdivisions Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 272, FALSE IMPERSONATION AND REPRESENTATION, by Representative G. Froerer, with the following amendments and recommends it be placed on the Consent Calendar.

1.    Page 1, Lines 19 through 21 :    

             19          .    provides that the criminal provisions described in the preceding paragraph are only
             20      violated if the person engages in the prohibited conduct with the intent to defraud or

  with the intent to      

             21      make a false representation;

2.    Page 2, Lines 41 through 42 :    

             41      unlawful], if the person wears or uses the military medal with the intent to defraud or

             48      member, representative, or officer of the society, order, or organization.
