Representative Michael E. Noel proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Lines 15 through 17
    House Committee Amendments
    2-21-2008 :

             15          .    exempts insurance policies purchased to satisfy the owner's or operator's security
             16      requirement for an off-highway vehicle

or street-legal all-terrain vehicle from the requirement to include personal

             17      injury protection on the policy;

2.    Page 3, Lines 58 through 66 :

             58          (2) A policy of insurance or combination of policies, purchased to satisfy the owner's
             59      or operator's security requirement of Section 41-12a-301 for a motorcycle, off-highway vehicle,

street-legal all-terrain vehicle,

             60      trailer, or semitrailer is not required to have personal injury protection under Sections
             61      31A-22-306 through 31A-22-309 .
             62          (3) (a) First party medical coverages may be offered or included in policies issued to
             63      motorcycle,

off-highway vehicle, street-legal all-terrain vehicle, trailer, and semitrailer owners or operators.

64 (b) Owners and operators of motorcycles,

off-highway vehicles, street-legal all-terrain vehicles, trailers, and semitrailers are not covered by

             65      personal injury protection coverages in connection with injuries incurred while operating any
             66      of these vehicles.

             613          (6) (a)

{ A } (i) Except as provided in Subsection (6)(a)(ii), a federal motor vehicle safety standard supersedes any conflicting provision of

614 this chapter.

(ii) Federal motor vehicle safety standards do not supersede the provisions of Section 41-6a-1509 governing the requirements for and use of street-legal all-terrain vehicles on highways.
