Senator Scott K. Jenkins proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Lines 19 through 20 :    

             19          .    makes it a third degree felony to
  , after being convicted of intentionally or knowingly torturing an animal,       intentionally or knowingly torture a companion

             20      animal; and

2.    Page 6, Lines 164 through 165 :    

             164          (6)
  (a)       A person is guilty of a third degree felony if        , after being convicted of intentionally or knowingly torturing an animal under Subsection (4)(a),       the person intentionally or knowingly

             165      tortures a companion animal.
