A municipality may, by ordinance enacted by the municipal legislative body, make

benefits generally available to all municipal employees, their dependents, and an unmarried

employee's financially dependent or interdependent adult designee.
(b) A municipality may, by ordinance enacted by the municipal legislative body, make hospital
and health care facility visitation rights or privileges available:
(i) to all individuals participating in a registry created under this section; and
(ii) to the same extent that those rights or privileges are available to other individuals in other
adult relationships.
