7 LONG TITLE
8 General Description:
9 This bill supplements or reduces appropriations previously provided for the use and
10 operation of state government for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2008 and ending June 30, 2009.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This bill:
13 . provides budget increases and decreases for the use and support of certain state agencies;
14 . provides budget increases and decreases for the use and support of certain institutions of
15 higher education;
16 . provides budget increases and decreases for other purposes as described.
17 Monies Appropriated in this Bill:
18 This bill appropriates for fiscal year 2009:
19 . $55,124,300 from the General Fund;
20 . ($4,025,500) from the Uniform School Fund;
21 . ($127,613,900) from the Education Fund;
22 . $213,549,900 from various sources as detailed in this bill.
23 Other Special Clauses:
24 This bill takes effect immediately.

28 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
29 Section 1. Under the terms and conditions of Utah Code Title 63J, the following sums of
30 money are appropriated from resources not otherwise appropriated, or reduced from amounts
31 previously appropriated, out of the funds or fund accounts indicated for the use and support of the

32 government of the State of Utah for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2008 and ending June 30, 2009.
33 These are additions to amounts previously appropriated for fiscal year 2009.
