7 LONG TITLE
8 General Description:
9 This bill modifies the Transportation Finances Act by amending provisions relating to
10 class B and class C roads account funds.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This bill:
13 . provides that a county or municipality may use up to 30% of the class B and class
14 C roads account funds allocated to the county or municipality to pay the costs of
15 asserting, defending, or litigating local government rights under R.S. 2477 on class
16 B, class C, or class D roads; and
17 . makes technical changes.

26 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
27 Section 1. Section 72-2-110 is amended to read:
28 72-2-110. Funds allocated to class B and class C roads -- Matching federal funds
29 -- R.S. 2477 rights.

30 [Any] A county or municipality may:
31 (1) use funds which are allocated to class B and class C roads [may be used] for
32 matching federal funds for the construction of secondary roads now available or which may
33 later become available in accordance with the provisions of law[.]; and
34 (2) use up to 30% of the class B and class C roads account funds allocated to the
35 county or municipality to pay the costs of asserting, defending, or litigating local government
36 rights under R.S. 2477 on class B, class C, or class D roads.
