General Description:

This bill requires a school district or charter school to post a collective bargaining
11
agreement entered into by the board on a website.

Highlighted Provisions:

This bill:

. requires the board of education of a school district to post a collective bargaining
15
agreement entered into by the board on the school district's website within ten days
16
of ratification of the agreement; and
17
. requires the governing board of a charter school to post a collective bargaining
18
agreement entered into by the board on the charter school's website within ten days
19
of ratification of the agreement.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:

Section 1.
Section
53A-3-428
is enacted to read:

53A-3-428. Collective bargaining agreement -- Website posting.

(1) As used in this section, "collective bargaining agreement" includes:
32
(a) a master agreement; and
33
(b) an amendment, addendum, memorandum, or other document modifying the master
34
agreement.

(2) The board of education of a school district:
36
(a) shall post on the school district's website a collective bargaining agreement entered
37
into by the board of education within ten days of the ratification of the agreement; and
38
(b) may remove from the school district's website a collective bargaining agreement
39
that is no longer in effect.

(3) The governing board of a charter school:
41
(a) shall post on the charter school's website a collective bargaining agreement entered
42
into by the governing board of the charter school within 10 days of the ratification of the
43
agreement; and
44
(b) may remove from the charter school's website a collective bargaining agreement
45
that is no longer in effect.
