    The Education Committee has returned H.B. 242, KINDERGARTEN AMENDMENTS, by Representative L. Black, to the Rules Committee without recommendation with the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Line 12 :    

             12          .    modifies the minimum age for kindergarten enrollment

  , at a local school board's discretion       ; and


2.    Page 2, Line 58 through Page 3, Line 59 :    

             58          (6) A board may enroll children in school who are at least five years of age before
             59
