Committee Chair Liljenquist called the meeting to order at 7:14 a.m.
MOTION:
Sen. Goodfellow moved to approve the minutes for February 27, 2009.
The motion passed unanimously.
1. HB0167 County Hospital Retirement Provisions
Rep. Noel introduced and explained HB0167.
LeGrand Bitter spoke in favor of the bill.
MOTION:
Sen. Bramble moved to move to the next item on the agenda.
The motion passed unanimously.
After intervening business another motion was made on the bill.
MOTION:
Sen. Bramble moved to pass HB0167 out of committee with a favorable
recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION:
Sen. Bramble moved to place HB0167 on the consent calendar.
The motion passed unanimously.
Sen. Liljenquist relinquished the Chair to Sen. Greiner.
2. SB0195 Public Employee Defined Contribution Amendments
Sen. Liljenquist introduced and explained SB0195.
Courtney White, Geoff Leonard, Jan Johnson, and Todd Smith spoke to SB0195.
MOTION:
Sen. Davis moved to amend SB0195.
