         BUILDING CODE AMENDMENTS

Representative Larry B. Wiley proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 12, Lines 353 through 360 :    

             353          (1) (a) "Adopted code" means:
             354          (i) (A) a new edition of or amendment to an existing code, including the standards and
             355      specifications contained in the code, adopted by the Legislature under Section 58-56-7 ; and
             356          (B) administered by the division under Section 58-56-6 ; and
             357          (ii) adopted by a nationally recognized code authority, including:
             358          (A) a building code;
             359          (B)
{   the National Electrical Code promulgated by the National Fire Protection

             360      Association   }
  an electrical code       ;


2.    Page 19, Lines 573 through 574 :    

             573          
{   (h) one member shall be from the Division of Facilities Construction Management,

             574      Department of Administrative Services.   }
  one member from the House of Representatives nominated by the speaker of the House of Representatives.
