Chair Bramble called the meeting to order at 7:44 A.M.
    
1.         S.B. 237 -- Transition for Repealed Navajo Trust Fund Act Amendments

        Sen. Hinkins introduced and explained the bill.

         MOTION: Sen. Morgan moved to pass S.B. 237 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

        The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Dayton and Stephenson absent for the vote.

Sen. Morgan assumed the chair.


2.         H.B. 189 -- Closed Meetings Amendments

        Sen. Bramble introduced and explained the bill.

         MOTION: Sen. Bramble moved to pass H.B. 189 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

        The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Dayton and Stephenson absent for the vote.

Chair Bramble resumed the chair.

MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to approve the minutes of the March 1, 2010 meeting.

        The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Dayton and Stephenson absent for the vote.

3.    1st Sub. H.B. 150 -- Administrative Subpoena Amendments

    Rep. Daw introduced and explained the bill.

    Jessica Farnsworth, Section Chief, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Attorney General's Office; Wade Farraway, Assistant Attorney General, Attorney General's Office; and Kris Knolton, Assistant Attorney General, Attorney General's Office; spoke in favor of the bill.

    Stan Rasmussen, Public Affairs Manager, Sutherland Institute; and Sean Hullinger, Private Attorney; spoke in opposition to the bill.

    Jacey Skinner, Sentencing Commission, Council on Criminal and Juvenile Justice, spoke to the bill.

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed with Sens. Bramble, Dayton, and Morgan voting in favor, and Sens.     Goodfellow and Stephenson voting in opposition.

Chair Bramble adjourned the meeting at 8:39 A.M.
