preceding calendar year shall verify the employment eligibility of an employee through a

verification system.

(2) A private employer shall keep a record of the verification required by Subsection

(1) for the longer of:

(a) the duration of the employee's employment;
or

(b) at least three years from the date of
verification

employment; or
(c) one year from the date of termination of the employee's employment
