Rep. Powell called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m and invited the committee members to introduce themselves.

H.B. 186    Utah Code Technical Amendments (Rep. B. Galvez)

Rep. Galvez explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Galvez moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation. The         motion passed unanimously with Rep. Janice Fisher absent for the vote.

H.B. 213    Statutory Construction Amendments (Rep. D. Brown)

Rep. Brown introduced the bill and Thomas Vaughn of the Office of Legislative Research explained the bill.

MOTION:
    Rep. Perry moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation. The motion         passed unanimously.

H.B. 215    Fatality Review Act Amendments (Rep. M. Newbold)

Rep. Newbold explained the bill to the committee.



MOTION:    Rep. Greenwood moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation. The         motion passed unanimously.

H.C.R. 2    Utah State Flag Concurrent Resolution (Rep. Julie Fisher)

The resolution was not heard in this meeting at the request of the sponsor.

H.C.R. 3    Concurrent Resolution Urging Congress to Pass Balanced Budget Amendment to U.s. Constitution (Rep. C. Wimmer)

The resolution was not heard in this meeting due to the absence of the sponsor.

MOTION:    Rep. Greenwood moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Powell adjourned the meeting at 3:56 p.m.
