Chair Ray called the meeting to order at 2:25 p.m., and welcomed the public. Committee members and staff introduced themselves.

H.B. 16    Pharmacy Benefits Manager Act (Rep. E. Vickers)

Rep. Vickers presented the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Clark moved to pass H.B. 16 with a favorable recommendation. The motion         passed with Rep. Chavez-Houck, Rep. Daw, and Rep. Watkins voting in           opposition.


H.B. 217    Appointment of Director of the Division of Health Care Financing (Rep. D. Clark)


Rep. Clark presented the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Daw moved to pass H.B. 217 out with a favorable recommendation. The         motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 23    Controlled Substance Modifications (Rep. G. Froerer) (handout)

Rep. Froerer presented the bill to the committee with the assistance of Mr. Paul Boyden, Executive Director, Statewide Association of Prosecutors.
