Rep. Webb called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m.

H.B. 44    Italian-american Heritage Month Designation (Rep. C. Watkins)

Rep. Watkins introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Draxler moved to pass H. B. 44 favorably. The motion passed unanimously      with Rep. Seelig and Rep. Morley absent for the vote.

H.B. 219    State Firearm Designation (Rep. C. Wimmer)


Rep. Wimmer introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Sandstrom moved to pass H. B. 219 favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Poulson and Rep. Seelig voting in opposition to the motion and Rep. Morley absent for the vote.

H.B. 46    County Recorder Amendments (Rep. R. C. Webb)

Rep. Webb introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Webb moved to replace H. B. 46 with 1st Substitute H. B. 46. The motion passed with Rep. Pitcher, Rep. Seelig, and Rep. Morley absent for the vote.

MOTION:     Rep. Webb moved to amend the substitute bill as follows:

1.    Page 1, Lines 19 through 20 :    

             19          .    modifies provisions related to the recording of a release
{   or   }        ,       assignment        , renewal, or extension       of a

             20      judgment lien;

2.    Page 3, Line 69 :    

             69          (b)
{   A   }        Prior to recording a subdivision plat, a       county recorder may require that the owner of land modify the        proposed       subdivision name
