NONRESIDENT TUITION WAIVER AMENDMENTS

Representative Todd E. Kiser proposes the following amendments:
1. Page 1, Lines 13 through 15 :
13 . requires a student to prove that the student, or the student's parent or legal guardian,
14 paid Utah income taxes during the prior

year
}
three years
to qualify for an exemption from the
15 nonresident portion of total tuition; and
2. Page 2, Lines 36 through 37 :
36 (d) provides proof
, by submitting a copy of a Utah individual income tax return,
that the
student, or the student's parent or legal guardian, paid Utah
37 resident income taxes for the

previous year
}
prior three years
