Representative Kay L. McIff proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 9, Lines 263 through 268 :    

             263          (5) (a)
  (i)            {   Candidates   }        Except as provided by Subsection (5)(b), a candidate       receiving the highest number of votes cast for each office at the

             264      regular primary election

     (ii) Except as provided by Subsection (5)(b), the two candidates for a nonpartisan office who receive the highest number of votes advance to the regular general election.
