Representative Stephen E. Sandstrom proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Lines 28 through 29 :    

             28      person detained for a class B or C misdemeanor
{   , and that these actions shall be

             29      upon reasonable suspicion the person is an illegal alien   } ;

2.    Page 4, Lines 117 through 119 :    

             117      detention, or arrest of a person as specified in Subsection (1)(a)(i) or (ii), and the
  person is unable to to provide to the law enforcement officer a document listed in Subsection 76-9-1004(1) and the officer is otherwise unable to verify the identity of the person the officer:            {   officer has a

             118      reasonable suspicion that the person is an alien and is present in the United States unlawfully,
