Chair Ray called the meeting to order at 4:40 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Daw moved to approve the minutes of February 13, 15, and 17, 2012. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Cosgrove and Rep. McCay absent for the vote.

Chair Ray relinquished the gavel to Rep. Vickers at 4:45 p.m.

H.B. 400    Traumatic Head and Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Trust Fund (Rep. E. Hutchings)

Rep. Hutchings presented the bill to the committee with the assistance of Dr. Dale Hull.

Rep. Ray presented the bill to the committee.




MOTION:    Rep. Cosgrove moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously. Rep. Daw was absent for the vote.

H.B. 497    Clearance for Direct Patient Access (Rep. B. Last)

Rep. Last presented the bill to the committee with the assistance of Mr. Joel Hoffman, Director, Bureau of Health Facility Licensing, Certification and Resident Assessment, Utah Department of Health.

MOTION:    Rep. Sanpei moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Daw and Rep. Watkins absent for the vote.

Chair Ray resumed the chair at 5:30 p.m.

H.B. 434    Pharmacy Practice Act Modifications (Rep. E. Vickers)

Rep. Vickers presented the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Chavez-Houck moved to amend the bill as follows:
