Rep. Greenwood called the meeting to order at 8:10 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Oda moved to approve the minutes of the February 21, 2012 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Grover, Rep. Hughes, Rep. Ipson, and Rep. Wright absent for the vote.

S.B. 236    Gps Tracking Authority (Sen. T. Weiler)

Sen. Weiler introduced and explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Mr. Wade Farraway, Office of the Utah Attorney General.

MOTION:    Rep. Arent moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Grover, Rep. Hughes, Rep. Ipson and Rep. Wright absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Rep. Frank moved to place S.B. 236 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Grover, Rep. Hughes, Rep. Ipson, and Rep. Wright absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Frank moved to saunter for 5 minutes. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Grover, Rep. Hughes, Rep. Ipson, and Rep. Wright absent for the vote.


Rep. Greeenwood resumed the meeting at 8:15 a.m.

1st Sub. S.B. 25    Driver License and Identification Card Amendments (Sen. K. Van Tassell)

Sen. VanTassell introduced and explained the bill to the committee .

MOTION:    
Rep. Arent moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Grover and Rep. Ipson absent for the vote .

MOTION:    Rep. Oda moved to place 1st Substitute S.B. 25 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Grover and Rep. Ipson absent for the vote.

H.B. 442    County Correctional Funding Amendments (Rep. M. Noel)

Rep. Noel introduced and explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Mr. Gary Ricks, Office of Legislative Fiscal Analyst.
