Vice Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 4:11 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Handy moved to approve the minutes of the February 27, 2012 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barlow, Rep. Daw, Rep. Last, and Rep. Nielson absent for the vote.

H.B. 152    Emissions Amendments (Rep. D. Brown)

Rep. D. Brown introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. V. Peterson moved to adopt 1st Substitute H.B. 152. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Last, Rep. Daw, and Rep. Nielson absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Kiser moved to proceed to the next item on the agenda. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Last absent for the vote.

H.B. 506    Martin Luther King, Jr. Special Group License Plate (Rep. R. Chavez-Houck)

Rep. Chavez-Houck introduced the bill to the committee assisted by Dr. Roderic Land, Martin Luther King Human Rights Foundation.

Spoke for the bill:        Rev. France Davis, Pastor, Calvary Baptist Church

MOTION:    Rep. Fisher moved to pass H.B. 506 out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Anderson, Rep. Daw, and Rep. Nielson voting in opposition. Rep. Last was absent for the vote.

H.B. 455    Financing Motor Vehicle Purchases (Rep. G. Froerer)


This bill was not considered.

MOTION:    Rep. Kiser moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

Vice Chair Anderson adjourned the meeting at 4:55 p.m.
