Sen. Christensen called the meeting to order at 8:10 AM.

MOTION:    Sen. Reid moved to approve the minutes of February 27, 2012. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen and Sen. Robles absent for the vote.

S.B. 202    Dentist Practice Act Amendments (Sen. J. S. Adams)
    
Sen. Adams introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION:    Sen. Jones moved to replace S.B. 202 with 2nd Sub. S.B. 202. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen and Sen. Robles absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Sen. Jones moved to amend 2nd Sub. S.B. 202 as follows:

1.    Page 5, Lines 138 through 139 :    

             138          (b) provides
  :

    (i)  
a certificate of successful completion of an advanced educational program

             139      in a specialty area that is two or more years in length;
  and

    (ii) proof that the applicant passed Part I and Part II of the National Board Dental Examinations or its equivalent as determined by the Board of Dentistry;  


        The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen and Sen. Robles absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Sen. Reid moved to pass 2nd Sub. S.B. 202 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen and Sen. Robles absent for the vote.

This bill was not heard. It was moved to another committee 2-28-2012.

S.B. 283    Municipal Election Modifications (Sen. C. Bramble)

Sen. Bramble introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION:    Sen. Jones moved to pass S.B. 283 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen absent for the vote.

H.B. 125    Access to Dental Health Care (Rep. T. Cosgrove)

Rep. Cosgrove introduced and explained the bill.
