Committee Chair Bramble called the meeting to order at 8:13 a.m.

Approval of Minutes

MOTION:    Sen. McAdams moved to approve minutes of the February 14 and February 16, 2012 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Adams and Sen. Romero absent for the vote.

S.B. 239    Severance Tax Revisions (Sen. C. Bramble)
was not heard.

S.B. 243    Repeal of Illegal Drug Stamp Tax Act (Sen. D. Thatcher)


Sen. Thatcher introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION:    Sen. McAdams moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Adams and Sen. Romero absent for the vote.

MOTION:    With the bill sponsor's consent, Sen. Valentine moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Adams and Sen. Romero absent for the vote.

S.B. 78    Water Conservancy District Amendments (Sen. J. Valentine)

Sen. Valentine introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION:    Sen. Valentine moved to replace S.B. 78 with 1st Sub. S.B. 78. The motion passed

unanimously, with Sen. Adams and Sen. Romero absent for the vote.

Sen. McAdams introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION:    Sen. McAdams moved to replace S.B. 211 with 1st Sub. S.B. 211. The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Adams and Sen. Romero absent for the vote.

Sen. Bramble relinquished the chair to Sen. Valentine.

MOTION:    Sen. Bramble moved to replace S.B. 177 with 1st Sub. S.B.177. The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Adams and Sen. Romero absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Sen. Bramble moved to replace 1st Sub. 180 with 2nd Sub. S.B. 180. The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Romero absent for the vote.
