8 General Description:
9 This bill amends provisions of the Utah Product Liability Act.

22 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
23 Section 1. Section 78B-6-708 is enacted to read:
24 78B-6-708. Foreign manufactured products.
25 H. (1) For purposes of this section, "final product" means a product received by a
25a retailer complete and ready to be sold to the public.
25b (2) .H For H. final .H products, other than pharmaceuticals, that are manufactured
25c outside of the United
26 States, the H. [ first entity that sells or distributes the product ] importer of record .H within
26a the United States is subject to
27 the same liability as the product's original manufacturer.
