8 General Description:
9 This bill amends provisions of the Utah Product Liability Act.

12 . requires an entity that first sells or distributes foreign manufactured products to be
13 subject to the same liability as the product's manufacturer.

22 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
23 Section 1. Section 78B-6-708 is enacted to read:
24 78B-6-708. Foreign manufactured products.
25 For products, other than pharmaceuticals, that are manufactured outside of the United
26 States, the first entity that sells or distributes the product within the United States is subject to
27 the same liability as the product's original manufacturer.
