7 LONG TITLE
8 General Description:
9 This bill modifies the Transportation Code by amending provisions relating to the
10 divisions of the Department of Transportation.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This bill:
13 . repeals the Administrative Services Division of the Department of Transportation;
14 . changes the name of the Community Relations Division to the Communications
15 Division and modifies the responsibilities of that division;
16 . provides that the Program Development Division is responsible for:
17 . maintaining and operating the asset management systems; and
18 . providing research services associated with transportation programs;
19 . repeals the requirement that the Project Development Division is responsible for
20 performing research into materials and methods for construction of state
21 transportation systems;
22 . provides that the Operations Division is responsible for procuring administrative
23 supplies and equipment and risk management; and
24 . makes technical corrections.

33 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
34 Section 1. Section 72-1-204 is amended to read:
35 72-1-204. Divisions enumerated -- Duties.
36 The divisions of the department are:

52 reasonableness of proposals, accounting records, and final costs of consultants, contractors,
53 utility companies, and other entities used by the department; and
54 (c) implementing audit procedures that meet or exceed generally accepted auditing
55 standards relating to revenues, expenditures, and funding;
