8 LONG TITLE
9 General Description:
10 This bill modifies Title 76, Chapter 7, Offenses Against the Family.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This bill:
13 . requires the Department of Health to prepare an annual report for the Health and
14 Human Services Interim Committee, including information on:
15 . the number of abortions performed in the state; S. [ and ] .S
15a S. . the reported reason, if any, why the patient sought the abortion; .S
16 . at what stage of pregnancy the abortions took place; and
16a S. . the race and ethnicity of the women on whom the abortions were performed; and .S
17 . makes technical changes.

29 (1) In accordance with Subsection (2), the Department of Health shall, on an annual
30 basis, after S. [ July 1 ] December 31 .S of each year, compile and report the following
30a information, relating to the
31 preceding S. [ fiscal ] calendar .S year, to the Health and Human Services Interim Committee:
32 (a) the total number of abortions that were performed in the state;
32a S. (b) the reported reasons, if any, the women sought the abortions described in
32b Subsection (1)(a); .S
33 S. [ (b) ] (c) .S the stage of pregnancy in which the abortions described in Subsection (1)(a)
33a were
34 performed, including:
35 (i) the trimester; and
36 (ii) estimated week of pregnancy;
36a S. S. [ (c) ] (d) .S the races H. and ethnicities .H of the women who obtained
36a1 the abortions described in
36b Subsection
36a1 (1)(a), including:
36b (i) Alaska Native;
36c (ii) American Indian;
36d (iii) Asian;
36e (iv) Black or African American;
36f (v) Hispanic or Latino;
36g (vi) Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander;
36h (vii) White, not Hispanic or Latino; and
36i (viii) some other race; .S

38 was distributed or accessed;

46 that preserves physician and patient anonymity.
