Rep. Greenwood called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Ipson moved to approve the minutes of the January 29, 2013 meeting. The
motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Brown and Rep. Redd absent for the vote.
Rep. Greenwood relinquished the chair to Rep. Ispon.
H.B. 69 Expungement of Records (Rep. R. Greenwood)
Rep. Greenwood introduced and explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Mr.
Reed Richards, Weber County Attorney's Office. (handout)
MOTION: Rep. Ray moved to proceed to the next agenda item requesting further discussion
of H.B. 69 later in the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
Rep. Greenwood resumed the chair.
H.B. 243 Offender Registry Review (Rep. J. Draxler)
Rep. Draxler introduced and explained the bill to the committee.
Spoke to the bill: Ms. Jaycey Skinner, Utah Sentencing Commission
MOTION: Rep. Ray moved to pass H.B. 243 with a favorable recommendation. The motion
passed unanimously.
Rep. Greenwood relinquished the chair to Rep. Oda.
H.B. 69 Expungement of Records (Rep. R. Greenwood)
MOTION: Rep. Brown moved to replace H.B. 69 with 1st Substitute H.B. 69. The motion
passed unanimously, with Rep. Ipson absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Greenwood moved to pass 1st Substitute H.B. 69 with a favorable
recommendation. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Ipson absent for the
vote.
Rep. Greenwood resumed the chair.
MOTION: Rep. Stratton moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously,
with Rep. Ipson absent for the vote.
