Chair Wilcox called the meeting to order at 8:33 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Knotwell moved to approve the minutes of March 4, 2013. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Eliason, Rep. Froerer, and Rep. Stanard absent for the vote.

S.C.R. 6    Concurrent Resolution on Federal Gas Tax (Sen. D. Henderson)

Sen. Henderson introduced the resolution to the committee.

Spoke to the resolution:    Mr. Lee Peacock, Utah Petroleum Association

MOTION:    Rep. Eliason moved to pass the resolution our favorably. The motion passed unanimously .

MOTION:    Rep. Wilcox moved to place SCR6 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.



H.B. 363    Public Education State Capitol Visit Funding (Rep. S. Eliason)

Rep. Eliason introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Eliason moved to amend the bill as follows:


1.    Page 1, Lines 22 through 24 :    

             22          This bill appropriates in fiscal year 2014:
             23          .    to the State Board of Education as a one-time appropriation:
             24              .    from the Education Fund,

2.    Page 2, Lines 48 through 52 :

The motion to amend passed unanimously with Rep. Froerer and Rep. Hutchings absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Knotwell moved to pass HB363 out favorably as amended. The motion passed with Rep. Nielson voting in opposition and Rep. Froerer absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Knotwell moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Froerer absent for the vote.

Chair Wilcox adjourned the meeting at 9:15 a.m.
