Rep. Anderson called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Peterson moved to approve the minutes of the March 4, 2013 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barlow, Rep. McCay, and Rep. Moss absent for the vote.


S.B. 222    Transportation Amendments (Sen. W. Harper) (Rep. D. Ipson)

Sen. Harper introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Peterson moved to pass S.B. 222 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barlow and Rep. McCay absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Peterson moved to place S.B. 222 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barlow and Rep. McCay absent for the vote.



H.B. 176    Utah Industrial Facilities and Development Act Amendments (Rep. D. Brown)

Rep. Brown introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    
Rep. Fisher moved to pass H.B. 176 out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. McCay voting in opposition. Rep. Barlow and Rep. Knotwell were absent for the vote.



H.B. 378    Election Revisions (Rep. C. Hall)

Rep. Hall introduced the bill to the committee and provided a handout.

MOTION:    Rep. Peterson moved to adopt 1st Substitute H.B. 378. The motion passed with Rep. Moss voting in opposition. Rep. Knotwell was absent for the vote.

H.B. 396    Modular Home Amendments (Rep. G. Froerer)

Rep. Froerer introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Peterson moved to amend the bill as follows:


1.    Page 8, Lines 215 through 218 :    

             215          
{   (9) The determination of whether a modular home is considered real property or

             216      personal property under this section may not be considered in determining whether the modular
             217      home is real property or personal property for purposes of taxation under Title 59, Chapter 2,
             218      Property Tax Act.

This bill was not considered.



MOTION:    Rep. McCay moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
