Chair Van Tassell called the meeting to order at 8:11 a.m.

Approval of Minutes

MOTION:    
Sen. Dayton moved to approve minutes of the March 27, 2013 meeting.     The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 128 Driver License Suspension Modifications (D. Sagers)

Rep. Sagers introduced and explained the bill.

Spoke in favor of the bill: Mike Sibbett, Former Chair, Utah Board of Pardons and Parole

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to transmit H.B. 128 favorably. The motion passed         unanimously.

S.B. 253 Sale of Dogs and Cats (G. Davis)

Sen. Davis introduced and explained the bill and a handout was distributed.

Spoke in favor of the bill: Gene Baierschmidt, Director, Humane Society of Utah

MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to transmit S.B. 253 favorably. The motion failed with Sens.,         Dayton and Mayne voting in favor of the bill and Sens Harper and Van Tassell         voting in opposition.

Motor Vehicle Emission Amendments (E .Redd)

Rep. Redd introduced and explained the bill.




MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to transmit H.B. 210 favorably. The motion passed         unanimously.

H.B. 126 Off-highway Vehicle User Fee Amendments (S. Cox)

Rep. Cox introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to transmit H.B. 126 favorably. The motion passed         unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Harper moved to place H.B. 126 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed         unanimously.

H.B. 104 Wireless Call Location Information (M. Wheatly)

Rep. Wheatley introduced and explained the bill and answered questions from the committee.

Spoke in favor of the bill: Heather Anderson, Utah Association of Special Districts

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to transmit H.B. 104 favorably. The motion passed         with Sen. Harper voting in opposition.

MOTION:    Sen. Dayton moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously. Chair Van Tassell adjourned the meeting at 8:48 a.m.
