             9          The Public Utilities and Technology Interim Committee recommended this bill.
             10      General Description:
             11          This bill allows certain parties to enter into an interlocal agreement that extends beyond
             12      a maximum term requirement.
             13      Highlighted Provisions:
             14          This bill:
             15          .    allows certain parties to enter into an interlocal agreement that extends beyond a
             16      maximum 50-year term requirement; and
             17          .    makes technical corrections.

             26      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             27          Section 1. Section 11-13-216 is amended to read:


             28           11-13-216. Term of agreements.
             29          (1) Except as provided in [Subsection] Subsections (2) and 11-13-204 (3), each
             30      agreement under this chapter shall extend for a term [of] not to exceed 50 years.
             31          (2) Subsection (1) does not apply to an agreement to which:
             32          (a) a project entity is a party;
             33          (b) an electric interlocal entity is a party; or
             34          (c) an energy services interlocal entity is a party.
