8 General Description:
9 This bill addresses requirements related to licensing of educators.
10 Highlighted Provisions:
11 This bill:
12 . provides that an individual employed at least half time in a position for which a
13 teacher's license is required, including a position in an online school or a school that
14 uses digital technologies for instruction or blended learning, satisfies the work
15 experience requirement for participation in an alternative preparation program.

24 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
25 Section 1. Section 53A-6-113 is enacted to read:
26 53A-6-113. Alternative preparation program -- Work experience requirement.
27 An individual who is employed at least half time in a position for which a teacher's
28 license is required pursuant to board rule, including a position in an online school or a school
29 that uses digital technologies for instruction or blended learning, satisfies the work experience

30 requirement for participation in an alternative preparation program.
