Madam Speaker:

    The Revenue and Taxation Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 74, ENERGY EFFICIENT VEHICLE TAX CREDITS, by Representative V. L. Snow, with the following amendments:

1.    Page 4, Lines 104 through 107 :    

             104          (b) for the

  original       purchase of a        new       vehicle fueled by natural gas that is registered in this state, the

             105      lesser of:
             106          (i) $2,500; or
             107          (ii) 35% of the purchase price of the vehicle;

2.    Page 9, Lines 249 through 252 :    

             249          (b) for the
  original       purchase of a        new       vehicle fueled by natural gas that is registered in this state, the

             250      lesser of:
             251          (i) $2,500; or
             252          (ii) 35% of the purchase price of the vehicle;
