    The Business and Labor Committee reports a favorable recommendation on S.B. 54, ELECTIONS AMENDMENTS, by Senator C. Bramble, with the following amendments:

1.    Page 2, Lines 45 through 46 :    

             45      Other Special Clauses:

{   None   }        This bill takes effect on January 1, 2015.      


2.    Page 27, Lines 805 through 806 :    

             805          (e) establishes, at 65% or higher, the minimum percentage of votes that a candidate
             806      must receive at the party
{   caucus   }        convention       in order to avoid a primary.


3.    Page 47, Line 1436 :    

             1436      political party, political party, or other political group.
  Section 17. Effective date.

This bill takes effect on January 1, 2015
