    The Education Committee recommends S.B. 122, PARENTAL RIGHTS AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN PUBLIC EDUCATION, by Senator A. Osmond, be replaced and favorably recommends 1st Sub. S.B. 122, PARENTAL RIGHTS IN PUBLIC EDUCATION with the following amendments:

1.    Page 2, Line 39 :    

             39          (ii) the educational needs of

  other       students.


2.    Page 3, Lines 57 through 58 :    

             57          (5) An LEA shall reasonably accommodate the request of a student's parent or guardian
             58      to excuse the student from attendance for a family
{   vacation   }        event       or visit to a health care provider,
