Vice Chair Ivory called the meeting to order at 4:09 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Draxler moved to approve the minutes of the March 3, 2014 meeting. The
motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover and Rep. Mathis absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Perry moved to approve the revised minutes of the February 18, 2014
meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover and Rep. Mathis
absent for the vote.
The handout, "The Best System for Political Participation" was distributed to the committee. The
handout was in reference to 1st Substitute SB54 discussed in the House Government Operations
Standing Committee meeting on March 3, 2014.
H.B. 156 Election Day Voter Registration Pilot Project (Rep. R. Chavez-Houck)
Rep. Chavez-Houck explained the bill. The handout, "HB156-Election Day Voter Registration
Pilot Project", was distributed to the committee.
