Rep. Ray called the meeting to order at 7:50 a.m.

Vice Chair Christensen assumed the chair.

H.B. 112    Regulation of Electronic Cigarettes (Rep. P. Ray)

Rep. Ray explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Ray moved to replace H. B. 112 with 2nd Substitute H.B. 112, Regulation of Electronic Cigarettes. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barlow, Rep. Cosgrove and Rep. Greene absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Chavez-Houck moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Greene absent for the vote.

1st Sub. H.B. 286    Child Sexual Abuse Prevention (Rep. A. Romero)

Rep. Romero explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Chavez-Houck moved to amend the bill as follows:

    (b) Upon the written request of a student's parent or guardian, the student shall be excused from the instruction described in Subsection (2).
