Chair Ray called the meeting to order at 8:10 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Cosgrove moved to approve the minutes of the February 26, 2014, meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Menlove absent for the vote.

Vice Chair Christensen assumed the chair.


H.B. 139    Nurse Practitioner Amendments (Rep. P. Ray)

MOTION:    Rep. Ray moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 1, Lines 8 through 15 :    

             8      General Description:
             9          This bill allows an advanced practice registered nurse to prescribe a schedule II or III
             10      controlled substance without
{   supervision   }        mandatory physician consultation       by a consulting physician.

             11      Highlighted Provisions:
             12          This bill:

The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Ray moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion failed with Rep. Barlow, Rep. Cosgrove, Rep. Greene, Rep. Redd, and Vice Chair Christensen voting in opposition.


S.B. 178    Controlled Substance Database Modifications (Sen. E. Vickers)

Sen. Vickers explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Kennedy moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Barlow moved to place S.B. 178 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.


H.B. 73    Living Wage Amendments (Rep. L. Hemingway)

Not considered.

MOTION:    Rep. Cosgrove moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Ray resumed the chair and adjourned the meeting at 9:55 a.m.
