Chair Noel called the meeting to order at 4:06 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Wilcox moved to approve the minutes of February 12, 2014. The motion
passed unanimously.
H.B. 67 Political Subdivision Jurisdiction Amendments (Rep. M. Roberts)
This bill was not considered.
S.B. 26 Air Conservation Act Reauthorization (Sen. S. Jenkins)
Sen. Jenkins explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Amanda Smith, director,
Department of Environmental Quality.
MOTION: Rep. Wilcox moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed
unanimously with Rep. Barrus, Rep. Briscoe, Rep. McKell, Rep. Nelson, and Rep.
Wiley absent for the vote.
1st Sub. S.B. 99 State Vehicle Efficiency Requirements (Sen. S. Jenkins)
Sen. Jenkins explained the bill to the committee.
Spoke for the bill: Carl Ingwell, Utah Clean Air Alliance.
MOTION: Rep. Edwards moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed
unanimously with Rep. Barrus, Rep. Ivory, Rep. Mathis, Rep. McKell, and Rep.
Sagers absent for the vote.
H.B. 61 Clean Air Programs (Rep. P. Arent)
Rep. Arent explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Dave McNeill and Lisa
Burr, Division of Air Quality .
MOTION: Rep. Briscoe moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with Rep.
Mathis voting in opposition.
MOTION: Rep. Barrus moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
Chair Noel adjourned the meeting at 5:00 p.m.
