HIGHER EDUCATION GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE AMENDMENTS

Representative Mark A. Wheatley proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Lines 13 through 15 :

             13          This bill:
             14          .    requires the State Board of Regents to enact regulations requiring sworn testimony
             15      during

certain employee grievance hearings at institutions of higher education; and

2.    Page 2, Lines 55 through 56 :

             55          (3) The board shall enact regulations that require all testimony be given under oath
             56      during an employee grievance hearing for an employee of an institution of higher education

{ . } if the grievance hearing relates to:

(a) an employee demotion; or
(b) an employee termination.
