         ROADWAY AND SIDEWALK SAFETY AMENDMENTS

Representative Jim Nielson proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 3, Lines 67 through 71a
    House Committee Amendments
    2-12-2014 :    

             67          (f) A county or municipality may adopt a resolution, ordinance, or regulation
             68      prohibiting conduct in locations described in Subsections (4)(a) and (b) within any of the
             69      roadways under its jurisdiction.
             70          (g)
  (i)       The state, a county, or a municipality      {   may   }        shall            {   grant   }        create a permitting process for granting       a person      {   a   }        an            {   temporary   } exemption

             71      from this Subsection (4)
{   by written authorization for a specified location or time   } .

  (ii) Upon receipt of a valid permit application, the state, a county, or a municipality shall grant a person a temporary exemption from this Subsection (4) for a specified location or time.

{   nothing   }        Nothing       in this section prohibits a temporary spontaneous demonstration. .H
