Representative Joel K. Briscoe proposes the following amendments:




1.    Page 6, Lines 153 through 157 :    

             153          (c) standards for high quality professional learning related to implementing and
             154      maintaining the initiative that require an LEA to provide at least:
             155          
{   (A) 40 hours a year of high quality professional learning outside of regular school

             156      hours for an educator, including an administrator; and
             157          (B) 16 hours a year of high quality professional learning for a technical support person;   }
  (A) for an educator, including an administrator, who does not spend most of the day in the classroom, 40 hours a year of high quality professional learning;

(B) for an educator who spends most of the day in the classroom, 40 hours a year of high quality professional learning outside of regular school hours and paid at the educator's contract rate; and
(C) for a technical support person, 16 hours a year of high quality professional learning;
