Senator Howard A. Stephenson proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 2, Lines 49 through 53 :    

             49          (2) "Institution of higher education" or "institution" means a:
             50          (a) credit-granting higher education institution within the state system of higher
             51      education;
{   or   }

             52          (b) private, nonprofit college or university in the state that is accredited by the
             53      Northwest Commission for Colleges and Universities
{   .   }        ; or

(c) private institution that offers postsecondary education:
(i) in consideration of the payment of tuition or fees; and
(ii) for the attainment of educational, professional, or vocational objectives.
