Chair Webb called the meeting to order at 8:16 a.m.

 

MOTION:       Rep. Anderson moved to approve the minutes of the February 11, 2015, meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Coleman, Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Ipson, Rep. Pitcher, Rep. Ward, and Rep. Powell absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 242           State and Local Government Employee Policies (Rep. J. Miller)

 

Rep. Miller explained the bill to the committee and provided a handout pertaining to H.B. 242.

                                       Kory Cox, Utah Public Employees Association

 

MOTION:       Rep. Poulson moved to pass H.B. 242 out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Webb voting in opposition. Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Ipson, Rep. Pitcher, and Rep. Powell were absent for the vote.

 

 

 

 

S.B. 79              Impeachment Amendments (Sen. J. S. Adams) (Rep. S. Handy)

 

Sen. Adams explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:       Rep. Anderson moved to pass S.B. 79 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Ipson, Rep. Miller, Rep. Pitcher, Rep. Ward, and Rep. Powell absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:       Rep. Anderson moved to place S.B. 79 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Ipson, Rep. Miller, Rep. Pitcher, and Rep. Powell absent for the vote.

 

S.B. 95              Town Amendments (Sen. J. Iwamoto) (Rep. C. Moss)

 

Sen. Iwamoto explained the bill to the committee.

H.C.R. 5           Concurrent Resolution Regarding an Interlocal Agreement with Jordan River Commission (Rep. R. Cunningham)

 

Rep. Cunningham explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:       Rep. Miller moved to pass H.C.R. 5 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Anderson, Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Ipson, Rep Kennedy, and Rep Pitcher absent for the vote.
