H.B. 330         State Fire Code Revisions (Rep. M. Schultz)


Rep. Schultz explained the bill accompanied by Coy Porter, State Fire Marshall.

H.B. 188         Paid Family Leave (Rep. A. Romero)


Rep. Romero distributed a handout, "HB 188: The Case For Paid Parental Leave," and explained the bill assisted by Stephanie Pitcher, Utah Women's Coalition, and Melissa Ridgeway Kraft, adoptive parent.


MOTION:     Rep. Wilson moved to hold H.B. 188 for Interim study. The motion passed with Rep. King voting in opposition.

 

H.B. 321         Real Estate Transaction Amendments (Rep. B. Greene)


Rep. Greene explained the bill.

MOTION:     Rep. Froerer moved to amend H.B. 321 as follows:

2.    Page 3, Lines 69 through 70:

3.    Page 3, Line 75:  

 

75   (b) "Undivided fractionalized long-term estate" does not include a joint tenancy.

         Section 3. Section 57-29-103 is enacted to read:

       57-29-103. Applicability.

       This chapter does not apply to property that is subject to Title 57, Chapter 19, Timeshare and Camp Resort Act.

MOTION:     Rep. Schultz moved to pass out favorably H. B. 321. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Knotwell absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Anderegg moved to place H.B. 321 on the Consent Calendar. The motion failed with Rep. Froerer, Rep. Webb, and Rep. Wilson voting in opposition and Rep. Schultz and Rep. Knotwell absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 111         Domestic Asset Protection Trust Amendments (Rep. E. Tanner)

 

Rep. Tanner explained the bill and distributed two handouts: "HB 111: Domestic Asset Protection Trust Amendments" and "Roger F. Cutler Counselor at Law."

 

Representative Schultz declared a conflict of interest.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Knotwell moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Froerer absent for the vote.
